Liberator Football
BMS Vs Buffalo Results

Read Below!

7th Grade:  Bolivar won by a score of 22-0; they are 2-1 on the season.

QB, Rafe Peavey scored first for the Liberators on a 9 yard run, with the two point conversion run being scored by Timmie Judd to make the score 8-0.  Ricky Contreras scored for the Liberators with a 33 yard interception return for a TD at the end of the first half...two point conversion failed to make the score 14-0 at the half.

Peavey scores on a 1 yard TD run in the second half, set up Ricky Contreras's second interception of the night.  The two point conversion run by Peavey was good to make the final score 22-0 in favor of the Liberators.  "Our kids came out early and set the tone by running several different sets on offense and mixing up the defenses to keep Buffalo off balance all night."  Bolivar also won the take away battle as Rafe Peavey and Kasey Hall had a fumble recovery each, while Ricky Contreras had two interceptions.  Joey Davolt aslo blocked a punt for the Liberators.

8th Grade:  Bolivar won by a score of 6-0; they are 2-0-1 on the season.

Bolivar was able to march up and down the field on the Bison of Buffalo, but costly penalties and mistakes by Bolivar in the red zone kept the score knotted at zeroes till Jacob Miles scampered into the end zone on the QB option with 1:43 showing on the clock in the fourth quarter.  The two-point conversion failed.  The winning drive and TD was set up by a Tyler Curts' fumble recovery deep in Bison territory.

"Our kids have outplayed and out-hit every opponent we have played, but have had to overcome silly penalties and mental mistakes to get the job done.  With next week's game being played on Thursday night, we have a little more time to correct those things before we take on the Blue Jays of Marshfield, who are always big and usually have a lot of kids out for football."  The 8th Graders have yet to allow any points to be scored in the three games that they have played thus far.
