Sentrecut Centers Youth by Providing Business Experience for Local Students

Are you in need of a metal sign?  Bolivar High School’s Sentrecut has got you covered! Sentrecut is a student lead, combined business at Bolivar High School including both the agricultural and business programs.  Their designs range from simple logos, to home decor and even custom projects. Their signs can be as large as 4ft by 4ft and are priced per square foot and metal thickness. Sentrecut offers two different metal thickness, 1/16 is $18 per square foot and 1/8 is $21 per square foot.

Like all programs and businesses, Sentrecut started off as just an idea that BHS business class thought up. Ashley Clift and Ashley Brown, from the school’s agricultural department, work alongside each other and are advisors of the program.  The main goal of Sentrecut was to expose the students to a small business environment from which they could learn management skills. The program began in March of 2018 and has grown through the use of social media outlets such as Facebook, Instagram and just recently, they have created their own website. Sentrecut was named after the dual credit program Sentrepact, which was designed to help high school students make a difference in their community while learning and developing skills to become future business leaders. Sentrepact stands for Student Entrepreneurs in Action. The class originally wanted to name it Centercut, but they soon decided that the name Sentrecut seemed to fit them better.

Below, are a few examples of the artwork and products that the students have produced.

Please support your fellow Liberators by purchasing your decorative signs locally through the Bolivar High School Business or Agriculture Departments.  For more information, you can check them out on Facebook at , or Twitter at Article written by Hannah Presley - BHS Student
