ADMIN MOVES

Bolivar, MO —The Bolivar R-1 School District is excited to announce several key leadership appointments for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. These changes reflect the district's continued commitment to student success, professional growth, and strong leadership across all campuses.

Brooke Campbell has been named as the new principal at Bolivar Middle School, replacing Ben Potter who has accepted a leadership position in another district.  Campbell, who currently serves as Principal at Bolivar Intermediate School (BIS), has been in education since 2005 and with the district since 2009 with roles including 6th grade math teacher, 1st grade teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal prior to her current role as principal at BIS.  Her proven leadership and passion for student growth will be a tremendous asset to the middle school community.

“As a proud Liberator, I’m excited for the opportunities that await in this next chapter,” said Campbell.  “I’m incredibly thankful for the chance to continue serving alongside Mr. Ingold, and I’m eager to meet the staff and reconnect with the students at BMS - many of whom I already know- as we continue to grow and sharpen our work together.  My time at BIS has been deeply meaningful–filled with relationships I’ll always value and experiences I’ll carry with me moving forward.”

Campbell earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Southwest Baptist University, a Master’s of Science in Education from Southwest Baptist University, a Master’s of Science in Educational Administration from Liberty University, and is completing her Educational Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Liberty University this summer. “I’m incredibly humbled and excited for the opportunity to join the BIS team,” said Ash. “It’s an honor to continue the great work already happening there, and I look forward to meeting and building relationships with the amazing BIS staff, as well as getting to know the students, many of whom I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with as they’ve come through BPS. My time at BPS has been truly special and has shaped me as a leader in countless ways. The relationships I’ve built with so many incredible people over the past two years are ones I will continue to cherish and carry with me into this next chapter.”

Ash earned his Bachelor's degree from Central Methodist University and his Master’s degree from Hannibal LaGrange University. He is currently working through his Educational Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Southwest Baptist University.  He and his wife, Megan, have three children.

Zach Julian has been named as the new assistant principal at Bolivar High School, replacing Dr. Clint Wooderson who is retiring after 21 years with the district.  Julian, the current Assistant Principal at BMS, will transition to the Assistant Principal position at BHS. Prior to joining Bolivar, Julian served as a PE and Health teacher, athletic director, football and track coach at Westport Middle School in Springfield, and assistant basketball coach at Parkview High School. He will also continue as the middle school athletic director in Bolivar.

“Bolivar has welcomed me and my family with open arms, and I’m excited to embrace this new opportunity at the high school,” said Julian. “I look forward to continuing to build strong relationships, reconnecting with so many students I’ve already had at the middle school the past 3 years, and supporting those who will be coming up in the years ahead. It’s an honor to keep serving this community in a new capacity.”

Julian earned his Bachelor's degree from Central Methodist University, his Master’s Degree in Athletic Administration from William Woods University, and his Specialist in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. He is working toward his Doctoral Degree from William Woods University.  He and his wife, Alex, have three children.

Jason Ingold, current Assistant Principal at BIS, will join Campbell as the new Assistant Principal at Bolivar Middle School. He will also continue to serve as the BHS boys and girls soccer coach. Ingold has been with the district for 7 years, serving as assistant principal at BMS and BIS, and Athletic Director.  He also served for two years as principal at Camdenton Middle School.

“The Bolivar school district is such a special place, and our family is so grateful to be a part of it and the community,” said Ingold. “No matter the building, great people and great kids are inside. It has been such a blessing to be a part of the BIS staff this year, and exciting things are happening daily inside its walls. I look forward to returning to BMS and being a part of its future. With the staff there and the opportunity to continue working alongside Mrs Campbell, I’m encouraged that we will be able to hit the ground running. I believe BMS is primed and ready to continue positively impacting students as they become the next generation of Liberators!”

Ingold earned his Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree, & Specialist degree all from Southwest Baptist University.  He and his wife, Rachael, have three sons.

"We are incredibly proud of the leaders stepping into new roles and grateful for those who have served our district with excellence,” said Dr. Michael Methvin, Superintendent of Bolivar Schools. “These leadership changes reflect our district’s depth of talent and commitment to continuous growth.
