Springfield, MO - Missouri Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) welcomed 5,000+ attendees from nearly 400 chapters to the State Leadership Conference April 13-15, 2025, to celebrate the 66th year as an organization. Members and advisers gathered in person to expand their leadership knowledge, compete in various events, and connect with others from across the state. FBLA members competed in over seventy-six competitive events ranging from Accounting and Business Ethics to Social Media Strategies and UX Design. The Top 10 individuals/teams in each event were awarded medals onstage at Great Southern Bank Arena.
The Bolivar chapter excelled at the State Leadership Conference by participating in Sales Presentation, Introduction to Financial Math, UX Design, Business Management, Organizational Leadership, Public Service Announcement, Public Speaking, Broadcast Journalism, Website Design, Journalism, Introduction to Information Technology, Spreadsheet Applications, Business Communication, Future Business Educator, Insurance and Risk Management, and Electronic Career Portfolio. The Sales Presentation team, consisting of DeLaney Daniels, Heidi Roweton, and Kami Bryan, and the Broadcast Journalism team, consisting of Hannah Watkins and Jaylee Bryant, both advanced with the top fifteen teams to finals. Public Speaking competitor Rhyan Roberts advanced to finals and received sixth place. Additional participating members included Eisley Scowden, Reagan White, Miles Bethell, Bri Fugere, Adelyn Carrel, Mac Rich, Chloe Way, Lydia Tilley, Logan Roberts, Sophia Stimpson, Sofia Smashey, Emma Goodman, and Sam Harless.
Throughout their time at the conference, members engaged in the Opening Session, voting for new State Officers, the Leadership Celebration, and the Awards of Excellence Ceremony. The Leadership Expo held over 30 exhibitors including universities and military partners for members to connect.
